I must say it is really amazing and of very good quality.  The thickness of the materials leaves no doubt in my mind that the products are of high quality.  Also, the color allows the item to look more modern

Pros: it came quickly, which I needed; it looks pretty good in my space; it was easy to assemble (though the arms had their L/R labels switched, which was confusing for a moment); it doesn't seem to attract as much dog hair as I feared; it's wide enough and long enough to stretch out on

Cons:  sitting on it ranges from "not super comfy but okay for the price" to "ow! what is that hardness digging into my soft parts???"; the aforementioned arms are attached with metal brackets so when you put any significant weight on it with your arm, it feels like they could snap off, so sitting against them to work on my computer is unfortunately out; I haven't used it as a futon but can't imagine really being able to sleep well on it.

Bottom line: needed an inexpensive interim sofa while I finish carpeting and painting my house. Don't expect to use it for more than 12 to 18 months and can hopefully see it lasting that long, plus the price was right, so would recommend it with caveats, but would use it a bit more if it were a bit more comfortable.

Price is right but prioritizes form over function.

For the price you can't beat it. Nice n firm and that's what I wanted.  Where the disappointment came in is the dimensions are off. Seat height is not 17.7" . Actual seat height is 15". And the arm height is also 2" shorted than specified. Was suppose to be 27" in height and actual height is 25". I'm tall so that extra 2 inches would have been nice to have.

Here is a skeptic's review of the Alden Design Futon. There are a lot of dimensions to the ideal sofa/futon. It has to function as seating and a bed. As a bed, it needs to be long enough to stretch out on. Given it's length, it also has to fit in your home. It should be attractive. It should easy to assemble and move. It should be comfortable. The Alden Design Futon checks all these boxes except for the last one. This piece of furniture is almost a home run. I was able to move the unassembled until into my place without any help. The packaging is brilliant and I'm so very impressed. The futon folds in half lengthwise along the middle and the arms are stored inside the seat. You basically unfold this thing upside-down, unzip the bottom and take out the seat, screw on the six legs, then flip it over and slide the arms on (which sit in a track and are easily removable). That's literally all there is in the instructions. Four Steps. Incredibly smart engineering! And man does it look great! The only problem is you'll spend most of your time sitting on it trying to rationalize the money spent on something as comfortable as a bus stop bench. I mean, it's really terrible. I've only had it for one day and I already feel like it's going to fall apart. sitting on it is such a shock because it looks so nice but feel horrible. And sure you can sleep on it, but you can also sleep anywhere if you are tired enough. It's actually tough for me to rate this because in my case the futon will rarely be sat on and it's more or less a decoration, and as a decoration it's really good. But if you value comfort and plan to sit on this thing more than a little bit occasionally, look elsewhere.

Form over function

I bought a sofa. And I got it. But the soft has no armrest. But it should have armrest in pictures.

We purchased this item for our lobby eight months ago. We no longer have customers wait inside, so it has been sat on less then five times, and each time by someone weighing less than 200 pounds. However, the the frame broke where it supports one of the front legs. The sofa is very lightweight and cheaply made. I cannot recommend ordering it. We have exceeded the return/refund so we are out nearly $300. Grr.

Got this couch at the end of April. It's been used minimally due to me not being fully moved into my place. One of the legs is already broken.
