This is one of those projects you will need help with. It did take me several days and with a little help to finish this swing set. But my kids love it so the time it took was worth it. Now for the issues. The instructions wasn't as clear as they need to be. Just double or triple check before you set assembling. Other than that no other problems.

Swing Set

I got the Sunnyslope Wooden Swing Set for my nephew and nieces, and it's been a delightful addition to their backyard. The sturdy construction, made of dense Northern Europe Scandinavian fir, immediately stood out to me as a high-quality feature. Unlike other swing sets I've seen, this one feels robust and safe, giving me peace of mind while the kids play.

The variety of activities is impressive - from the dual sling swings to the 6-foot slide and the rock climbing wall, there's never a dull moment. I appreciate the added touches like the vinyl chain covers on the swings for hand protection and the fabric canopy which provides much-needed shade on sunny days.

However, I did notice that the sand for the sandbox isn't included, which was a bit of a letdown. We had to purchase sand separately, which added to the overall cost. Also, the assembly process was quite time-consuming, so be prepared to invest some effort there.

Despite these minor issues, the joy it brings to the kids is undeniable. They spend hours playing on it, which is a great way for them to enjoy outdoor activities and stay active. Overall, this swing set has been a fantastic investment for fun, safe, and engaging outdoor play.

Hours of Outdoor Fun and Adventure!

My 6 and 9 year old sons are SO EXCITED about this playground set! This set has so many fun features that it provides hours and hours of entertainment for them and also when we have their friends over. I love the blue and yellow color scheme and the reddish color of the wood is awesome. I slide is wavy and a nice length for kids. There are 2 swings which helps to minimize fights over who gets to swing. The trapeze attachment is fun. My kids really love the bench and table attached to the set as well. They love eating their lunch there when the weather is nice outside. The canopies are good quality and provide shade, which is fantastic! The playground set is well made. It took help and many hours to put together, but it has been so worth it! It's worth noting that a proper base is recommended before installing this set. We choose mulch as it was the easiest thing for us to do. My whole family is so happy with this playground set. I expect this will provide years of fun and memories! I would absolutely recommend this to others with school-aged kids!

Hours of outdoor fun and memories!

This swing is great, so many things about it,  the chains to swings are heavy duty, has pull up handels, a good thick slide. Sand pit you can put sand under by stairs, good awning, lots of peices to put together, its a project but can be done,  theres a shelf and kids love playing pretend kitchen! Great set up

Great swing and set up

This swing set is really sturdy and is a ton of fun for my kids. It is made of cedar and it comes completely unassembled. It came in two giant boxes but it did have all the parts, screws, and things necessary to put it together. You will need a drill and a screwdriver and a couple other tools. It took my husband and I a couple days of working on this to get it put together, but my kids are loving it now. They love the slide and the little sandbox attached. It'll be fun in the spring when we can add some real sand down there for them to play in. It also comes with a little picnic area for eating snacks. I love that it has the cover over it and a whole bunch of attachments like swings and rings for them to play on. They're excited about this and so am i. It does take up quite a bit of space so you will need a bigger yard for it, but it's not overly huge. It is very sturdy since it's made of wood and overall it was not too bad to put together. I think this is perfect for kids up to about 10 years old, but after that they get a little bit big for it. It's probably better suited for kids 9 and under. This is a great swing set with a great value. Would highly recommend this and I am very satisfied.

Sturdy, kids love it, took awhile to put together

This park play set -- including a sheltered picnic table, picnic bench, swing set, rock-climbing wall, playhouse, sandbox, and slide -- is really fantastic. All the materials seem top-notch with the wood, hardware, and layout designed for maximum safety during years and years of playtime. The variety of activities is fun and varied -- our kids are having a lot of fun playing on it. 

Some considerations we had to take into account for purchasing this particular set included the size, which is about 13 feet wide and 11 feet deep (it looks about 10 feet tall when assembled). The instructions recommend six feet of space around it, for safety, which would be a good, generous amount, I think. Together, the two boxes it is delivered in weigh over 200 pounds, so depending on where your delivery is dropped off, you may have to team up to move the boxes or open them and move the pre-cut and drilled wood pieces, hardware, and swings and such, in several loads to wherever you're assembling the play set. 

The instructions recommend having four adults assemble the play set. That's what we did and it worked out well -- without rushing, we finished in five or six hours -- which I think is a small amount of time to invest for years of happy children. The instructions call for a power drill to use as a screwdriver, and we had two, one of which was an impact wrench, which helped speed things along since we could have two groups working simultaneously at times, with everyone pitching in together on more complicated steps. 

The instructions call for a ladder, which would have been helpful while assembling the canopy, but we did fine without, with one of us standing inside the tower. We actually assembled the tower on our deck, which is the first (and main) thing you build, and then we carried it into place in the yard, where we finished the swings' crossbar. What I would highly recommend is ordering the wood pieces, numerically, by the numbers stamped on each piece. That process made finding wood for the next steps quick and easy -- a big help. 

The instructions are very clear and straightforward, which make them easy to follow. We didn't run into any real problems during assembly. There are 22 steps laid out in the almost 50-page booklet, from the first -- pounding in square head rivets into the TOP of the crossbar (see the labels to tell which is the top) with a hammer or mallet -- to the final step, pounding in the anchoring stakes. 

The basic assembly components you do, over and over, are that a bolt, and a locking washer, are inserted through a pre-drilled hole all the way through into a matching board's pre-drilled holes, where a long, threaded, nut-of-sorts is inserted. You tighten by using a drill with a Phillips screwdriver head on the bolt while holding the "nut" steady with a heavy-duty hex-wrench (included). Pretty easy and straightforward. You could use a heavy-duty Phillips screwdriver though it would take longer to complete. There are large- and small-sized screws, mostly for the decorative slats, but again, there are pre-drilled holes for each, so everything is very easy to assemble. 

I really like how the completed structure gives the sense of being overbuilt -- which I think will last for years and years. Assembling it was actually a fun project for us all, and playing on it is so much fun for the kids. All those different play areas offer our children hours and hours of fun, fitness, and lots of ways to play outdoors and use their imaginations. What a great addition to our home!

Fun to Play, Years of Play

The Sportspower Sunnyslope wooden swing set came in two large boxes that were VERY heavy. When the boxes were delivered they were a little banged up, but all the pieces were in perfect condition.
 It will take at least two people to put this together, and it took us two days to assemble. All of the pieces are marked and the hardware is in individually labeled bags which was great. I won't say that it was an easy job to put this swing set together, but it is a very sturdy swing set. You will spend the majority of your time assembling the "fort" section as there are many boards that make this up. There are some tools included--allen wrenches and a socket, but we used our own tools to assemble. Also included are tie downs. 
 The swing set has a fort on one end with an attached picnic table on the end and the slide comes down from the fort. To climb up into the fort is a combination ladder and rock climber and underneath the fort is a shallow sandbox. There are two sling swings and a trapeze swing as well.
 Once we finished putting the swing set together, the boys loved it! They really like the fort with the slide and the sandbox underneath.

Kids love it!

This Sportspower Sunnyslope Wooden Swing Set playground is very nice and makes time outdoors so much more fun for toddlers and young children. My 3 year old daughter and her siblings absolutely love playing on it. It is a perfect smaller size, making it easy to fit even in small yards, a great choice if you have limited outdoor space. The playground has swings, a slide, an incline rock climbing wall, a shade canopy and even a small bench with table on the side which make a cute picnic or resting spot. Out of the box you might feel overwhelmed by the many different parts and hardware that come with this set, but the instruction booklet is well written with helpful illustrations to follow step by step. I recommend you take your time to read through the instructions first, then sort and lay out all of the wooden pieces and hardware before you begin building. This will help save time and be less confusing as you work along. Setup is not that difficult, it is just time consuming. The quality of the playground is nice, the wood is durable and sturdy, great height for young children and adults can easily reach if help is needed. The wood will need wood stain to strengthen it and protect against weathering within a couple of months of setup as recommended in the instructions. My children are super happy with this playground and I'm extremely satisfied with this set, it's great quality and sure to last with the right treatment and care. It is absolutely gorgeous and I definitely recommend it!

This playset looks really great! I finally recieved the second box. Its shipped in 2 huge boxes. Almost impossible to move they are so heavy. My 6 year old daughter is very excited for us to build this but we are waiting till spring. Too late into winter to do it now.

If you have a lot of patience and time you will be great at setting this swing set up. 
The product arrived in multiple HEAVY boxes and about 3 trillion pieces. Nothing is actually ready to go except for the one piece slide. The instructions are tedious and will leave you scratching your head as you try to figure out exactly what piece A32 needs to connect to on B37. You will need a power screwdriver, scissors, and a small set of hands to complete the job.
The wood that is used on this set will need to be treated and sealed. This isn't particle board but it's one step up from that. A few pieces were already cracking at install and I worry about this holding up well in our NYS winters. Once you get the set all put together your kids will LOVE it. My kids have been playing on it non-stop and especially love the covered section where they hang out and have snack and meal time. In general, it seems pretty sturdy and once anchored to the ground your kids can swing themselves to the moon and back without this thing flipping up in the air. 
It looks cute in my back yard and as I said, the kids really love it so I guess all the stress and annoyance of putting it together paid off.

Day 36 and hour 1592....

The only reason i gave a 1 is because 0 isn't an option. Product is absolute garbage, avoid buying at all costs. Wasn't even left on porch,fedex just dropped it in driveway. Started putting it together and only made it to page 3 before numerous holes didn't line up with the bolts. Also had to drill out some holes so the nut on the back would even fit,as the bolts were not long enough to reach it at some of the connections. After reaching the 4th or 5th set of holes that didn't line up, took apart what i had assembled and returned to the store. Really a horrendous product and the saying "you get what you pay for" definately applies here. Save yourself your sanity and DO NOT BUY THIS SWINGSET!
